Wine Dinner with Field Recordings Winemaker Andrew Jones

Six Course Wine Dinner November 2nd, 2017 @ 6:30PM

$150/Person, Portion of Proceeds Benefit the North Bay Fire Relief Fund

created by Redwood Credit Union, California State Senator Mike McGuire & The Santa Rosa Press Democrat

We are happy to have Andrew Jones of Field Records, Wonderwall, Fiction and now Alloy Wine Work to c.1880 for a six-course wine dinner on November 2nd at 6:30p.  While we already had this wine dinner already in the works, Chef Thomas and General Manager Joshua Wolter-Milton decided to take it another level and send some of the proceeds to the relief efforts in California wine country that is currently being affected by horrible wildfires.  Chef Thomas has designed a menu that not only encompasses the flavors of the distinct and diverse wines from Andrew Jones, while still harvesting the flavors of autumn.

Field Recordings is 35-year old winemaker Andrew Jones’ personal catalog of the people and places he values most. Spending his days as a vine nursery fieldman planning and planting vineyards for farmers all over California, Andrew is sometimes offered small lots of their best fruit on the side. Having stood in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast, he has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough: sites that are unknown or under-appreciated but hold enormous untapped potential. As friendships are made and opportunities are embraced, Andrew produces small quantities of soulful wine from these unusual, quiet vineyards.  The Field Recordings wines are a catalog of single vineyard sites that produces wines with a sense of place and personality.  In addition to the single vineyard wines, multi-vineyard blends are put together under the Wonderwall, Alloy Wine Works and FICTION labels.

As with tradition, festivities will begin with a sparkling reception at 6:30p and seating for dinner promptly at 7:00pm.  Reservations are required for this event and can be made by contacting the restaurant directly either by phone @ 414/431.9271 or via email reservations@c1880.com. Credit cards will be require to secure a space for this dinner. Dinner is $150/person for food with wine pairings.

About North Bay Fire Relief Fund

Redwood Credit Union (RCU), in partnership with RCU Community Fund, The Press Democrat, and Senator Mike McGuire, is now accepting financial donations to aid relief efforts and assist victims of the 2017 North Bay fires. 100% of the donations will go directly to support those affected by the fires.

Because the devastating fires affected numerous counties, including Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, and Lake County, the funds will be distributed equally among all four counties.
